They were given the task of coming up with a Rube Goldberg Contraption, designing it, labeling it, and finally building it! Each contraption had to have 7 steps and at least 3 simple machines. Rube Goldberg Contraptions!
Have you ever heard of Rube Goldberg? He was Pulitzer Prize winning cartoonist, sculptor, and author! He had a degree in Engineering, but became famous through his cartoons! Rube Goldberg is even an adjective in the dictionary! Rube drew cartoons that took a simple task and made it incredibly complicated!
