Lights! Camera! Action!

The 3rd grade CCATS spent the morning learning about the theater! The students traveled to New Horizon Community Theatre to get a preview of the upcoming play "The Little Princess." Along with a few scenes, the students were able to get a behind the scenes look at what it actually takes to put on a performance! The students enjoyed meeting the actors and actresses and asking questions! The director of the play, Amy McDow, gave a presentation and let the students know how they could get involved with local theater!

Fishy Fun!!

The 4th graders from Langdale and Mrs. Barnes' class had a blast learning about all of the parts of a fish! They learned about the different types and fins and where they are located on the fish. The students then had to read clues and construct what they thought the fish should look like using Fish Kits. There were some crazy looking fish! Later, the students had to try to match the fish they built with a picture of the actual fish the clues were describing. Afterwards, they learned a great song to help remember the anatomy of the fish! Check it out!

LaTaevia and Camryn want to know what kind of fish this is supposed to be!

McKay and Anaiyah are really studying their fish clues!

Eric, Wes, Austin, Gavin, and Jadon are sure they have their fish put together correctly!

Jada, Jacyn, and Desi think they are about done!

Hattie and Ximarie are searching for the match to their fish!

These girls did a great job!

The boys will not be outdone!

Check out these awesome fish!

Don't these look great?
