AUsome Auburn Engineering!

The 3rd Grade CCATS visited the Auburn University Engineering School! The students learned about engineering techniques and then completed a couple of activities. The students tried to build a contraption to keep their raw egg from breaking during an egg drop! They came up with some pretty interesting ideas! The second activity had the students using spaghetti and marshmallows to build the highest tower they could that could also stand for 2 minutes. These were really unique! The winners received prizes!

Afterward, the students got a tour of the stadium, the locker room, and the Heisman room! What a great experience for these kids!! War Eagle!!

Riding High!

A few last pictures from the McWane Center trip by the 3rd graders! These students learned first hand about tension, weight, and force!

Ooooo Owl Pellets!

After studying a little ornithology, the 4th graders dissected owl pellets! They were able to see what the owls ate recently and try their hand at putting the skeletons back together! Check it out!
